It has a large covered fully furnished terrace with amazing uninterrupted views over Golfo di Olbia towards Isola Tavolara. The apartment has high limed oak ceilings and is tastefully furnished to a high standard, and is professionally maintained, with a welcome pack on arrival. Air conditioning/heating available. Beach umberella, buckets and spades provided. A good collection of books available. Information folder on arrival, and english spoken local representative to help with information during your stay. There is use of a communal pool (June to September), with a life guard and an attractive private terrace with matching loungers, umberellas and tables, and a view of the sea. Covered secure parking. Local sandy beach 10 minute walk, with a further 6 more beachs all within a 10 minute drive. Olbia and its airport only 10 minutes drive.
Pittulongu is situated behind the renown Lido di Pittulongu. The apartment is in a perfect location for exploring the many stunning beaches of the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo and Porto Rotonda. The sea water is crystal clear, and all the beaches have clean white sand. Most have lounger, pedalo and windsurf hire and beach bars in season. The sea is warm from early May until November, a perfect location for your summer holiday, and also for early and late breaks. The apartment is also good for exploring the interior of the island, the mountains and the many archeological remains. Olbia is a lively city with many facilities, whilst the glamour of the Costa Smeralda and the artist village of San Panteleo is only 20 minutes drive away. Corsica can be reached by ferry from nearby Golfo Aranci. Rome is 20 minutes by plane from Olbia. Pittulongu has various good quality restaraunts and bars, several right on the beach, and within walking distance. There is a well stocked small supermarket at the bottom of the road. Larger supermarkets and shops can be found in Olbia, along with a twice weekly year round street market. In August there is also a lively night market in the main street. Nearby is a large swimming pool complex, with three Olympic size swimming pools, a health spa and tennis courts - open all year. There is a fantastic water park nearby in Baia Sardinia.
The night life of the Costa Smeralda is world renown.
Facilities for all water sports locally, and the world renow Pevero Golf Club is only a 40 minute drive.
Fantastic location to unwind and relax, the terrace is a great location to 'chill out' and watch the ever changing view of the bay.
Directions
Flights daily with Easyjet from Gatwick direct to Olbia. Olbia airport is only a 15 minute drive away. Daily flights from Olbia to most mainland Italian airports. RyanAir direct flights daily all year from Stanstead to Alghero (twice daily in high season). RyanAir also flys direct from Nottingham and Liverpool. More flights available from many regional UK airports. Alghero is a 1 1/2 hour drive straight across the island. Flight time is only 2 1/2 hours.
Olbia is also a very important Italian port, daily ferries take you to various major sea ports on mainland Italy.
Car hire is recommended to be able to explore the island and the many beautiful beaches.
