Duquesa is located between Marbella and Gibraltar and only ten minutes away from Estepona. It is on the south west coast of Spain,and therefore the climate is good all year roundwith approximately 320 days of sunshine every year, making it the perfect destination for golfers all year round and holiday makers alike. The apartment is situated next to the Puerto de la Duquesa marina with its many shops, bars and restaurants some have live music and dancing, others are quiet, the choice is yours! At night have a meal in one of the many and varied restaurants overlooking the water, English, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Tai, American and Mexican, they are all here. They are all open all day and stay open until late at night, when its time to go back to the apartment you will know the car is safely parked and its only a two minute walk back.
Across the road from the marina is the Duquesa Golf and Country Club which boasts superb facilities and a top class 18 hole course, overlooking the mediterranean. More of europes finest golf courses are within a thirty minute drive, including : Los Arqueros, La Quinta, Los Flamingos, MonteMayor, Atalaya Park, Estepona, San Roque, Almenara, Sotogrande, Valderrama and Alcaidesa.

DIRECTIONS FROM MALAGA AIRPORT
TO “Almadraba”
(Journey time about 55 minutes)
On leaving the airport stay in the right hand lane and slip road and join the N340 highway in the direction of Algerciras/Cadiz.
After about 2 km stay in the right hand lane with blue motorway style signs (A7) direction Algeciras/Benalmádena – this takes you up onto the motorway.
The A7 motorway (autopista) climbs, passing behind Torremolinos and Benalmádena and then drops down towards Fuengirola, stay in the left hand lanes to follow the AP7 motorway and after about 10 minutes you will come to the toll (peaje) - have a few euros or credit card available.
Continue and after about 10 more minutes the motorway again merges with the coastal A7 behind Marbella.
Continue on the A7 motorway and stay in the left hand lanes towards Estepona and after about 5 minutes you will come across another toll, continue through. In about 10 minutes, the road will join the A7 again.
Exit at the turning marked 153 KM at Estepona. The slip road brings you immediately to a roundabout with ESTEPONA in large letters in the middle. Take the 3rd exit onto the A7 again, go down a long hill towards the sea. At the bottom there is another roundabout again with ESTEPONA in large letters. Go straight over still on the A7, continue over several roundabouts. Drive through the underpass at Sabinillas, take the turning on the right the Puerto de la Duquesa, the complex is on your right.
You have arrived!
NB – Don´t worry if you miss the AP7 motorway as the main A7 coastal highway gets you there, although it takes a little longer with more traffic. If you find yourself on the coast road head towards Estepona and take the 153KM turn off towards Algerciras/Cadiz.
